Watched the movie “Cloverfield” today, it was pretty good. It’s filmed as an amateur video (Blair Witch Project meets Godzilla) which I suppose is to make the movie seem more realistic, not sure if that is working for me though. It starts out really slow, but soon enough the action strikes down hard.
The way it’s filmed with a camcorder makes this movie stand out more than it normally would, it’s likely that the reviews would be worse if it didn’t. You get the feeling of a low budget movie but it’s actually really well made with special effects.
I liked the movie but just as its best there suddenly was the ending credits scrolling, I thought they skipped a chapter. The ending is very sudden and I think they should have kept on going for atleast another 15 minutes, the movie is only about 75 minutes long. But it’s very different from other films and has its charm and twists that I like so I recommend it.
