The flight to New York went very well, the Airbus 340 felt very luxurious, touch screens with video on-demand, games and flight information, and also the food was pretty good. The 8 hour flight went surprisingly fast even though you suffer from some headaches.

Today I’m flying to New York City, we’re landing at Newark Airport around 13.10 local time (18:10 CET). Then we’ll take the supershuttle to the hotel in central Manhattan, near Times Square, and check-in. The bags are packed and I’m all ready for New York City. Plane leaves tomorrow morning around 10:40 and we’ll be landing around 13:10 local time (8.5 hour flight). I will be trying to post photos and comments every day to this blog, the adventure begins soon.

Today I took the boat out to a popular site for anchoring with boats and went for a swim, the first this year, and some sunbathing. The water temperature was very OK for a swim and the weather was great. I also tried out the top speed of the boat, and it’s just over 40 knots (measured by GPS) [...]
