Gran Torino is a movie about an old man, who is also a veteran from the Korean war, losing his wife and lives alone in his house in an Asian neighborhood. He is bitter and angry with life and hates his neighbors and is starting to get fed up with the increasing number of gangs and punk kids in the community and starts to confront them. People are starting to see him as a local hero, something that has consequences for his next-door neighbors which he is growing fond of and very close friends with. It’s a pretty good movie, somewhat slow at times, but I think it’s worth seeing if you have a couple of hours to spare.
