Today I got a hold of a copy of the ever so popular Granf Theft Auto IV (4) game for Playstation 3 and played through a few missions. It’s pretty cool with great graphics, but they game itself offers few surprises if you have played the other GTA games. But I like those little side activities you can do, like dart and bowling etc. I have yet to try the multiplayer part of the game tho, I think this game will provide plenty of time-killing.
I was at the policestation after work today and got the new passport. So with this I will be able to get in to USA for my vacation, a visa is not required when you’re a tourist, so now all papers are in order =).
We bought some stuff for the boat today and fixed it up, lifevests, new ropes, fixing lights and gauges etc. It’s pretty much ready for daycruising now, but it requires some more stuff for weekend cruises. But it’s getting there!
Today we were on our maiden voyage with the boat, about an hour, just a short trip to fill her up and back. It went pretty smooth but tomorrow we will go to a boatstore and buy the basic equipment we need, like lifejackets, some more rope, spare parts for the electrical system and so on. I forgot to take some pictures today.
This evening I was at the re-opening party at the new location of “Wanjas Vardagsrum” (“Wanjas’ Livingroom” in English), which is a store with furniture, decorations and designer stuff mainly from the fifties, sixties and seventies that my brother and his girlfriend is running. There were snacks, drinks and a live band called “Moose quartet”, great atmosphere.
Me and a good friend of mine are now proud boatowners. We have browsed alittle bit on a few boats for a few days and I expressed my interest of chipping in with part ownership so we could afford a boat in better condition. So we looked at an Örnvik 570 (5.7 meter plastic boat with an outboard motor and cabin for 2) this afternoon and after a testdrive we decided that it was a very good deal so we took it, the hull and engine is in very good condition, it will only need a few cosmetic fixes on the inside, like new seats and some polishing.
We’ll need to get some equipment and gadgets for us and the boat on Friday, but it’s ready to go already this weekend so we will go for a drive soon and start the work on it so it’s ready for the longer weekend trips this summer =). I will post some pictures of it soon.
Killed some time at the poker table on Facebook today and managed to get a few sweet hands, don’t you just love it when a play comes together? Let me take you through a round; blinds are 10/20 and we each have about 2-3000 in chips, the guy before me raises to 300 and I re-raise to 600.

I ended up winning the hand with pocket aces, that felt good… I wish it happened more often. Ofcourse it’s even more beautiful when you’re the underdog, but his attitude made this so sweet =).
